Musical Memories

‘Feelings aroused by the touch of someone’s hand, the sound of music, the smell of a flower, a beautiful sunset, a work of art, love, laughter, hope and faith – all work on both the unconscious and the conscious aspects of the self, and they have physiological consequences as well.’ – Bernie Siegel

Bond: You changed your mind. – l’m glad. – Are you?
Magda: Well, let’s put it this way.
Bond: So far, you are the least lethal and by far the prettiest of Kamal’s friends.
Magda: Thank you.
Bond: So does he have a proposition for me, or do you?
Magda: He suggests a trade. The egg for your life.
Bond: l’d heard the price of eggs was going up, but isn’t that a little high?
(A woman photographer takes a picture of Bond)
Magda: Charge it to Room…?
Bond: Oh, along with the champagne, l suppose? Why? Has Kamal forgotten what l look like already?
Magda: lt’s for me.
Bond: So that if l depart this world suddenly, you’ll have something to remember me by?
Magda: Something like that. lt’s for my scrapbook. l collect memories.

Therefore, I decided to record my own voice and send it to Penelope – just in case, ‘So that if l depart this world suddenly, you’ll have something to remember me by’? Thought 5,000 plus billet doux, hallmark cards, creative works from L.S.S. Inc. [poems plus 100’s of creative works from Love’s Secret Service, Inc.] and umpteen songs [on cassettes / CD’s] wouldn’t be enough besides the original voice would carry more weight.

Reason, Season or Lifetime

“Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement” – Golda Meir

The following 3 paragraphs were received as a part of an email. I think sharing these wonderful captivating thoughts might inspire others.

“People come into your life for a Reason, Season or a Lifetime. When you know which it is, you will know what to do for that person. When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.”

“Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season!”

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant!!”

Thank you for being a part of my life, whether you were a Reason, Season or a Lifetime.

Believe, Imagine, Dream

From sunrise to sunset to sunrise, there is a lifetime of beauty, charm, and elegance enveloped in joy, sorrow, and tranquility. Don’t miss out the unfathomable elegance of tranquility; it could very well change your life, for the better. – Sandeep N Tripathi

The following was received in an email sometime in the late 1990’s:

God and Man [Believe in Magic]

The man whispered, “God, speak to me” and a meadowlark sang.

But, the man did not hear.

So the man yelled, “God, speak to me” and the thunder rolled across the sky.

But, the man did not listen.

The man looked around and said, “God let me see you.”

And a star shined brightly.

But the man did not see.

And, the man shouted, “God show me a miracle.”

And, a life was born.

But, the man did not notice.

So, the man cried out in despair, “Touch me God, and let me know you are here.”

Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.

But, the man brushed the butterfly away and walked on.

I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little and simple things that we take for granted even in our electronic age … so I would like to add one more:

The man cried, “God, I need your help!”

And an e-mail arrived reaching out with good news and encouragement.

But, the man deleted it and continued crying.

Don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way that you expect.

Believe, Imagine, Dream…..Life is Beautiful.

The Reality of Concept

“I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” – Albert Einstein

“Love, Truth and Honesty:”

Sandeep Narayan Tripathi, inspired by Penelope, sat down to write his first play but the review he received was quite discouraging:  No structure whatsoever which makes the work so distracting it cannot be read easily. The length of this script put in proper form would most probably exceed a three-hour running time. Eliminate dedication; table of contents; foreword and preface – these do not belong in any kind of screenplay. The motivation for writing is here. The basis of the story, plots, turning points, all here once we put them into a structure. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Reality of Concept is 7, once we get past the roadblocks. Study Master/Shooting Script Format and Re-Write. Note: Lyrics to song(s) copyrighted by third parties cannot be included or submitted in a screenplay without the advance permission of the copyright owner.

The Reality of Concept (70%) (based on Imagination) became the driving force and the advise to study Master/Shooting Script gave me the enthusiasm and determination to move head with my dream.

“A Kite in the Wind”

As I turned each page and became increasingly aware of Mr. Tripathi’s talent for Movie and Teleplay Direction — (as evidenced by the highly advanced technical know-how in creating visual effects with the camera and the sound that should stand him in good stand with those production companies who look to their script-writers for every camera angle) — I was struck with the thought that wherever this screenwriter learned the art and craft of writing for the screen — both large and small — he learned it very well indeed. I found myself following his stage and camera direction with as much interest as I followed his story.

However, I know from experience with the writers Guild of America, West, that very frequently, the better production companies and studios find highly detailed shooting script a total turn off and they feel that the writer has not left anything to the imagination of the Director and camera crew and will be entirely too rigid and inflexible in his handling of the property. This is something for Mr. Tripathi to consider when he submits a totally detailed script to a production company.

“A Wilderness of Voices”

It’s been quite a journey – from Love, Truth & Honesty to A Kite in the Wind to A Wilderness of Voices. There’s been a gap of over 20 years between A Kite in the Wind and A Wilderness of Voices – due to sound judgment, rational thinking as well as pre-defined priorities. I believe with the help of Flowering, Moment by Moment, I will be able to create a masterpiece, if not, close to it. The dream, as well as the Reality of Concept, is monumental. Imagination has played a vital role. Whether or not it will materialize, only time will tell.

Believe, Imagine & Dream with a little bit of faith, loads of trust and self-confidence. After all, Imagination is the foundation as well as the building block(s) of “A Wilderness of Voices”.

“”A Kite in the Wind – with Love, Truth and Honesty – weathered A Wilderness of Voices, Through the Darkness, With Love” – Sandeep N Tripathi
